Pathfinder Camporee
Through God’s blessing, hard work, diligent planning, and the generosity of donors, in April the El Oasis Pathfinder Club was able to attend the North Mexican Union Camporee in Monterey, Mexico
This was an excellent opportunity for the children to strengthen their faith, deepen their sense of belonging to a global church, and enhance their spirituality.
The camporee journey provided many firsts for the children, and they enjoyed learning many different things.
During a brief talk at the camporee, the North Mexican Union Youth Leader told our children;
“Your difficult past isn’t a weakness… It’s a tool God gave you to move forward. If you don’t separate yourself from Christ, there’s nothing you can’t achieve…
“If you’ve come this far, you can go anywhere.” It’s messages like this that the children need to be reminded of often.

Week of Prayer
El Oasis children participated in a special Week of Prayer with the theme: “Jesus makes me a hero”
The children heard stories of Bible heroes and learned about virtues that will make them heroes in Jesus, too.
This special week ended with a communion service and message about Jesus as our Model Hero.
Bicycle Ride
On a cool day in April, Pathfinders hopped on bicycles to enjoy a 10-mile ride required for the cycling honor.
The day was cool and cloudy. The road was sandy and required extra effort. However, at the end, each pathfinder succeeded.
Children’s Day
El Oasis staff strive to create lasting memories for the children that will create bonds and link them to their El Oasis home forever.
One annual event is to celebrate “Children’s Day” in May where the El Oasis family enjoy time together.

Through God’s blessing and effective management, the El Oasis Farm is having a productive growing season.
